Hard totals
Should I hit 15 against a 10?
Yes. Hit hard 15 when the dealer shows a 10.
These answers are for a 6 deck game where the dealer stands on soft 17, blackjack pays 3 to 2, and you can double on any two cards, including after a split.
Why
Like 16 against a 10, this is a losing spot either way. Standing on 15 needs the dealer to bust from a 10, which does not happen often.
Any card from Ace to 6 improves your 15, and over many hands hitting loses less than standing.
The play against every dealer card
| Dealer shows | Your play |
|---|---|
| 2 to 6 | Stand |
| 7 to Ace | Hit |
